Tiffany Lawson Inman

Tiffany Lawson Inman is an actor who has turned the page to writing and editing. She grew up on the stage in Denver, mastering what it means to be a triple threat; brandishing her voice, emotion, and tap shoes. Tiffany claimed a higher education in theatre arts in Chicago. She conquered the stages of Columbia College and was taught by Tony award-winning instructors. This is where she learned what it really meant to use the body and mind together for character emotion, and story development.

During the last four years she has provided deep editing services on a freelance basis. Tiffany wields a well-purposed red pen as if it were an appendage straight from her creative brain. (Yes, it runs in the blood.) Combining her acting and editing skills enables Tiffany to see the flaws and the fixes in fiction.

"Like the award-winning author and stage actress Tana French, Tiffany has thousands of hours honing her ability to convey emotion on stage. She uses that knowledge to see how best to capture emotion and motivation in a novel. Theatre has also given her the skills to enhance choreography and dialogue, add rhythmic power to lethargic cadence, make internalizations move the story forward, and add power to every page.” ----- Margie Lawson

The Buzz About Margie

I use the psychologically-based techniques I learned in Margie's Empowering Characters' Emotions class to add texture and flavor to my writing.  Margie taught me that a visceral response will outdo an adverb every time.  Now my heroine's heart no long beats loudly - it pounds like a drunk in an old western dragging his tin cup across the jail bars.
