The kids are screaming, your spouse reminds you that you need milk, your boss is texting you, you have a big deadline at work tomorrow that makes your head hurt, your friends is having drama, and you have to finish drafting this scene tonight.
Sound familiar?
Whether you’re trying to balance a job with writing, writing with kids, or any number of life configurations, the question remains the same—how to you do it all without losing your mind?
You don’t have to ignore your family (or friends or pets) and make them eat takeout to get everything done. You may not be able to have it all, but you can have what you need.
We’ll talk about time management, work/life/writing balance, goal setting and re-evaluating, making time for everything (including yourself), building a support network, and how you can do it all while meeting deadlines, not getting fired, having a life, not keeping the pizza man on speed-dial, and being happy.
Participants will come away with a goal plan and ideas on how to make time for their priorities and will have the chance to learn and exchange time-management tricks and tips and strategies for balancing life while making progress.
There will be some class work, but since we’re all busy they’ll be easy and optional—like creating goal plans. There will also be time to share ideas and brainstorm with the group (if you’d like).
