Changing your Writing World

Premise to Plot

You have an idea for a novel. Now what? For some authors, the next step is opening a blank document and pounding out the first draft. But others are looking for a little more structure before they dive in. In this highly interactive workshop, we’ll explore various plotting and outlining methods and discuss how to find the right one for you and your novel. This 30-day course is ideal for:

  • Anyone who has an idea for a novel and isn’t sure how to begin
  • Writers who are in the middle of a draft and feeling lost
  • Writers who have a completed draft that needs a structural overhaul

Regardless of what stage your novel is at, we’ll hone in on the heart of your idea, then work on developing a plot that stays true to that core. Students will have multiple opportunities to workshop their ideas, pitches, and outlines.
