No matter where you are in the world or where you are in your writing career, there's one thing all writers need: good writing buddies.
Did you know that the LWA Coffeehouse is open and free?
Sign up just like you would for any LWA class:
Put the free product in your cart and check out.
You only need to sign up once. The "class" doesn't expire or go away.
Go to "account" in the top menu and then click "go to classroom"—you'll find the coffeehouse listed there with your other classes.
You can go in any time and leave a message, respond to someone else, find a friend, share a sadness or a success.
When I was in college, we had a campus hangout. It was down in the basement of one of the buildings. There was food and drink available at any time day or night. Cozy tables filled the tastefully dimly lit space, and there was always someone there studying to commiserate with.
The LWA Coffeehouse is like that.
This is a hangout for writers.
We've pre-filled it with some cozy tables forums for you to hang out at.
Don't see a space you like? There's a suggestion box where you can help us make the space more friendly.
Haven't taken any LWA Classes? That's okay! You're still welcome. Although you may be a little lost when we talk about having oceans of BLUE in our writing. Don't worry. We've all been there. You'll be fine!
In many of my classes, I've seen students forming friendships, only to be sad when the class is over.
This space is there for you.
In a time when we are often isolated, this virtual space is here to foster connections and friendships between writers all over the world.
Currently, we have one each week, and everyone is welcome. Jenn Windrow is our amazing host on Wednesday evenings. We chat for a few minutes, and then we go on mute and write! At the end, we have a time to re-connect and encourage each other.
Would you like to host a write-in at a different time? Drop us a note in the suggestion box and we'll be happy to add you to the list.
Come on in! The doors are open!
